I watched this movie on Wednesday as part of my Psychology/Anthropology/Sociology homework. Initially, I was going to watch Legally Blonde to complete the assignment (we were given a list of movie options), but then I saw this video on The FlashDance blog; saw that it involved a Beatles song, and set my heart on this movie instead. Boy am I sooo happy I did! I Really really enjoyed it

I thought I hadn’t seen this film before, but some parts actually felt familiar to me. I probably saw it when I was really young but didn’t know what it was called.

So this is what I spent periods 2-3 on Wednesday doing. Afterwards, I had this great urge to skip school and go dance to Twist and Shout in public. hahahaha!

Since I don’t have school tomorrow, I decided to spend my Thursday evening watching something online. I decided against a sappy, cliché Korean drama and instead chose to see the French film, Amélie!

It was actually really great despite the fact that I watched a fuzzy version on Youtube (I found out this HD version existed only after I finished the movie ). The whole film has a bit of this sepia tone which reinforces its time period and setting (in Paris, of course!). I thought the lead actress did a great job of making her character shy but sneaky, and lonely but very loving. I actually laughed out loud in some parts like when her goldfish tried to commit suicide and the the scene where she wore a Zorro attire and drew a ‘Z’ on someone’s door. LOL
