Remember that Fred Flare gift certificate I won? Last month I decided to use it to purchase some accessories that would go well with my semi-formals dress. But unfortunately, it didn’t get delivered in time for the dance. downer
Instead, it was delivered last Wednesday. That would mean I waited 4 weeks for my package to get delivered! I found that absolutely absurd because all the purchases my friends made from Fred Flare arrived in less than a week, whereas mine took a month! frustrate
I don’t blame Fred Flare though—I think it was Canada Post’s fault + the snowstorms in the states.

But what a bad first-time-online-shopping experience that was! Makes me feel reluctant to buy merch online the next time…

Actually, not really. I want to buy too many things online to care how long it takes to arrive. I JUST WANT THE STUFF, OK?
Soooo, I guess I should just be glad my package arrived safe, right? RIGHT. *PHEW*

And now, on to the feature presentation: the picspam!!!

imageWhat I ended up getting: Inés Sunglasses ($11), Singing Sparrow Necklace ($14), Cat’s Meow Cocktail Ring ($3), aaaaand of course, the Grey UrbanEars Classic Cool Headphones ($68):

imageimageimageimageI must say, wearing the sunglasses + headphones combo is perfect for winter happy It keeps my ears warm and prevents snow from flicking into my eyes, so now I don’t have to squint

For the sake of being random, here is a photo of the little key-chain my older sister bought me during her trip to Cancun, Mexico (she’s the one I stole this DSLR from embarassed ):

Yesterday afternoon, I received this message in my inbox:
message from Fred Flare
I was one of the winners for FredFlare‘s boombox contest and won $100!! My face afterward was literally like this: blank stare surprised shock excaim content note
I checked their blog post to make sure I wasn’t dreaming or seeing things, and then did this weird, crazy, embarrassing happy dance (I think I actually twisted my hip bone a tad bit) hehehe

Now on to the question of what the hell am I going to buy?! I don’t plan on spending this gift certificate just yet; I want to wait for them to re-stock some of their great stuff and maybe for another sale to crop up. lucky

But here are a bunch of things from their store I’ve been eying lately (and what I might just buy):

UrbanEars headphones
UrbanEars Headphones: $68 - made in Sweden and comes in other nice colors
Inés sunglasses
Inés Sunglasses: $11
Lucy Sneakers
Lucy Sneakers: $48
mini umbrellas
Mini Umbrellas: $32 - Maybe this is too expensive for an umbrella?

I was supposed to blog about this weeks ago, but the lack of proper sunlight held me back from taking nice pictures of… my new vintage leather satchel ! hubbahubba

I just knew it was a good day when I entered Salvation Army that day—and I was right! Sure, I did look stupid while crouching and trying to untangle this baby from a million other bags, and yes, it does comes with the vintage odor too (read: like a grandma died in there), but for $7.99, I finally have it!! Also, the shoulder strap can come off, which is a plus grin

Now I can cross this off my Christmas wish-list ok

P.S. Don’t you love how the receipt says “immaculate” on it? I think that refers to its quality…?
Oh and does anyone know an effective way of removing the musty stench from an old leather bag?
