You & Me, Together
I am so excited for inauguration day tomorrow! 
I’m not even American, and I feel like bursting into tears thinking about Obama and all the things he’ll do. Some people are so negative about it. They say we shouldn’t have such high expectations. Maybe he’ll be the best president ever, maybe he won’t. But there’s nothing wrong with hoping and dreaming and wishing.
I remember on election day when Obama won, I entered my parent’s room and saw my Dad just sitting there and..crying. That is the second time I ever saw my Dad cry. The first was when Pope John Paul II died. My Dad was so happy that he won. He would have boarded a plane to DC right now if he didn’t have to stay here and look after us. I was pretty happy when Obama won on election day. But when I saw my Dad’s face while watching Barack’s speech, I was beyond happy. It was more like awe and wonder. It’s like what I’m feeling right now. I feel hopeful.
I’m going to miss the live filming of inauguration day because I have a school trip that’s mandatory. But my Dad will probably record the whole thing, so no worries.
