Project 365: Day 1
Remember how I said for the New Year, I wanted to design something everyday? Well I thought about it and frankly, I don’t think I’ll be committed enough to do it ‘til the very end. I have a feeling that I’ll lose my motivation along the way, miss some days and screw it all up.
That’s why I’ve decided to partake in something more…achievable, which is Project 365. For those who haven’t heard of it (or are too lazy to click the link), the aim is to basically take a photo each day. Take a photo of the things you did, ate, laughed at, place you went to, your new haircut, anything. This way, you gain a lot of practice camera-wise and I think it’d be nice taking a look back at how your year went, wouldn’t you agree? ![]()
Initially, I wanted to post all my pictures on Flickr, but seeing as I don’t have a Flickr Pro account and I don’t want to use up the little storage space that I have, I think I’ll upload it to somewhere else. Like Picasa maybe.
So here’s my first picture:
A bit blurry since I used a lot of exposure and it isn’t really a DSLR that I took it with, but here’s the story behind it:
So at around 2:30-ish AM, I finally finished up the Macbeth homework I’ve been trying to complete for hours now and felt a little hungry. Okay, not a little, a LOT hungry. So I went downstairs to the kitchen and made a cup-a-soup. No really, that’s what the soup’s called, a Cup-a-Soup. Anyways, I took a mug out, pulled out a pack of that good stuff, worked on ripping it open while my mind wandered off to all my unfinished homework upstairs, came back to Earth, and then I looked back down at my cup.
Turns out that I accidentally poured the contents of the sachet into someone else’s mug.
And that cup already had some transparent liquid in it!

Seeing that a) it was the last packet of soup b) I didn’t want to waste anything and c) the liquid was (hopefully!) water, I just took a chance and transferred that cup’s liquid into my own cup, added more water and then popped it in the microwave. Once it was hot and ready, I took it upstairs and drank it there… and then realized that it wasn’t water.
It was actually GINGERALE!
UGH!
Of course I felt bad about throwing the contents out (it was the last packet of soup dammit!). So what happened was, I just drank half of it in one go, realized I couldn’t handle the taste, ended up throwing the other half away, and then opted for a bowl of cereal to feed my sad stomach. Oh yeah, and then I finished this blog entry at 4:35AM.
THE END.
